Three including a juvenile held for bike lifting

Bhilai, Oct 18: Police have arrested three ruffians including a juvenile on charges of bike lifting. Three stolen scooters were recovered from their possession. Inspector Bhushan Ekka (SHO, City Kotwali, Durg) informed that on the instructions of SSP Badri Narayan Meena, ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruw and CSP (Durg) Jitendra Kumar Yadav, they were maintaining vigil on the activities of suspects and criminal record holders.
The network of informers was also activated for the purpose. In this sequel, police received a tip off regarding three suspects who were roaming on a scooter and were looking for customers for that vehicle. Police team immediately swung into action and rounded up the accused.
They were questioned about the documents of the vehicle. When they were unable to give a satisfactory reply, police interrogated them strictly. Later they confessed to have stolen four vehicles in the last one week from Gavlipara, Chandi Mandir, Pachripara and Sheela Hotel area of Durg. Owners of two of the vehicles had lodged complaints at the Police Station while police are trying to find the owner of the third vehicle.
The accused are identified as Bachchan Manikpuri (18) son of Joi Manikpuri a resident of Diprapara, Durg; Kedar alias Prem Thakur (18) son of Bisauha Thakur a resident of Kandrapara, Durg and a juvenile. Head Constable Chetan Sahu, Constable Javed Khan, Pradeep Thakur, Chitrasen Sahu, Dhirendra Yadav, Tileshwar Rathore, Mohammad Farukh Khan, Keshav Sahu and Ravindra Singh played vital role in arresting the accused.
