Tamil Nadu achieves milestone of administering 10 crore Covid vaccine doses

Tamil Nadu has reached the milestone of administering 10 crore Covid vaccines to the public. The State Health minister M. Subramanian told the media last evening that, the medical and paramedical staff are geared up to administer vaccines to those from 12 to 15 years of age as well, from the day the Centre announces the guidelines.

AIR correspondence reports, In Tamil Nadu, covid vaccines are being administered through weekly mega vaccination camps in up to 50-thousand locations across the state including railway stations, bus stands, and shopping malls for different categories of people.

In some locations, places of worship also provide space for the camps. The 23rd such mega camp for the general public is now underway in the state.

In addition, exclusive all-day vaccination centers and the designated public health facilities also vaccinate the visiting public throughout the week. With such efforts, Tamil Nadu has now joined the rank of bigger states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Madhya Pradesh in reaching the ten-crore vaccine mark, and is still counting.
