Take action against those violating COVID-19 safety norms: Collector

Raipur, Mar 16: Raipur Collector Dr S Bhartidasan has instructed to speed up COVID testing for prevention and control of Coronavirus infection. Addressing a time-limit meeting at the collectorate meeting today he has said that to prevent the spread of Coronavirus, it would be necessary to carefully carry out contact tracing of Corona-affected people. If necessary, FIRs should also be registered against people hiding information of COVID infection, he said.
The Collector emphasised regular sanitization in the areas infected with Coronavirus and asked the government officials and employees and people to follow COVID safety norms and encourage others to follow these norms for prevention and control of Coronavirus infection. He said that strict action should be taken against those violating COVID safety norms.
The Collector gave instructs to repair all hand pumps in rural areas to provide clean drinking water to the people of the district keeping in mind the upcoming summer days. Water has to be supplied to houses of people under various government schemes, he said. Keeping in mind the water sources it is necessary to supply water collectively to the areas that have been affected by water crisis, he said. He also instructed to make proper arrangement of tubewells in the health centers, anganwadi centers and school campuses by the month of March under Jal Shakti Abhiyan.
The Collector directed the Health Department that adequate preparations should be made in advance to prevent infectious diseases spreading during summer days. Ensure availability of medicines at such places, he instructed and said that health department should check the health of the people by organizing camps.
He said that water samples should be tested in the areas that are prone to infection. He reviewed the progress in opening of Swami Atmanand English-medium schools in Raipur district. Moreover all applications that have been received so far should be sorted out in a stipulated time frame, he instructed.
