Students welcomed with ‘tilak’ and garland

Bilaspur, Aug 03: The Class 10th and 12th which were closed owing to corona pandemic for last 18 months, began here on Tuesday. In the rural areas, it is with consent of Gram Panchayat and ward corporators in urban areas and with recommendations of PTA that classes from 1 to 5 and 8th were also started. The students reached the school with great enthusiasm and were welcomed in the ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’. The students were welcomed with garland and were distributed free of cost text-books in the government schools.
In the ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’ the public representatives were also invited. In the Swamy Atmanand English Medium School (SAEMS) -Mangala, functional in urban area of Bilaspur, Chairman CTB Atal Shrivastava, in Tarbahar School Mayor Ramsharan Yadav, in Lala Lajpat Rai School- MLA Shailesh Pandey; District Panchayat President Arun Singh Chouhan in Kota and others took part in the ‘Shala Pravesh Utsav’. The students were welcomed applying ’tilak’ on their forehead and were distributed text-books free of cost and all the classes were held with 50% attendance.
District Education officer Bilaspur informed that prior to start of the Class, a detailed inspection of School was done by forming a team and cleanliness and sanitization was also done and for 50% attendance roaster was prepared. It is by preparing the roaster that students were intimated and arrangements for sanitizer and washing of hands and water facility was ensured in each School. For distribution of text-books they were neatly packed in plastic and were later distributed. It is with all these preparations that schools were reopened.
It is notable here that there are total of 1858 government, 540 private and 66 schools with grants functional in Bilaspur district. In these schools, there are total of 3.89 lakh students studying.
