Student dies of malaria in ashram

Konta/Sukma, Nov 16: A student died in Mutodi Ashram of Sukma block.  The deceased Lokesh Kalmu is nine years old studying in class IV.
The family members of the student accused the ashram superintendent, saying that clear information regarding the health of the student was not given to the family.  The student was sent by his father Ashok Kalmu to the ashram on 12/11/2021.  Kalmu was ill for two days.  The student died on 15/11/2021 due to not getting timely treatment. The students of the ashram said that Lokesh was weeping throughout the night and the superintendent was absent from the ashram. The students told that Lokesh had died in the ashram.  But after death, the consent letter has also been given to the family by writing it wrongly.  When Kalmu was brought to Gadiras Hospital to get tested, the doctor was suffering from malaria and was sent back.  The doctor was also negligent towards the student, due to which the student died.  According to the information, there is no medicine in the hospital, for the treatment of the students, medicines are purchased from the medical and applied. In the consent letter, on 13/11/2021, Kalmu is said to have entered the ashram, while his father Ashok has taken his child to the ashram on the 12th and it is also written in the consent letter that he died during treatment.  All India Students Federation (AISF) State President Mahesh Kunjam, District President Ishwar Veko, Joga Vajami met the students after reaching Mutodi Ashram and paid tribute to the deceased student who met the family members after reaching Tongras, the home village of the deceased student.  And has demanded from the district administration to take appropriate action against the superintendent and the doctor.
