Raipur, Jul 20: With the objective to take back the stranded Aeroplane of United Bangladesh (UB) at Raipur Airport after nearly three years, the UB representative Inayat Hussain on Friday held talks with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) officials at a meeting here. But instead of taking a decision on shifting, both the parties could reach to a consensus only to shift the UB Aircraft from existing South spot to vacant West part of Raipur Airport. Subsequently with the help of technicians the UB Aircraft was shifted under the supervision of visiting Assistant Manager (Engineering) Inayat Hussain and Assistant General Manager from Kolkata Shubhankar Bannerjee in a exercise which went on for nearly an hour. Regarding the above development, AAI Raipur Director Rakesh Sahay said that now the South Region of Airport could be used for the parking and arrival of smaller Aircrafts for various occasions including the upcoming elections in Chhattisgarh. About the Parking fee due on UB Airlines, he said that the amount has reached to Rs 60 lakh, for which they would press hard on Bangladesh Government for the payment as well as to take back the stranded Airplane which had made an emergency landing to Raipur on way to Muscat three years ago. He also informed that the AAI also has plans for parallel Taxi Track for the convenience during busy schedule. Sahay also extended gratitude towards Air India to enable the shifting of the UB Aircraft from South Region to vacant West which hardly has any traffic movement.
