State level football tournament inaugurated in Katulbod

Bhilai, Mar 01: Under the guidance of Arun Vora, MLA Durg (urban) various tournaments are being organised in Durg city. In this sequel, Mayor Dheeraj Bakaliwal on Monday inaugurated a 4-day state-level football tournament at the ground in Katulbod Ward by cutting the ribbon.
Among those present at the inaugural ceremony were Education and Sports in-charge Mandeep Singh Bhatia, General Administration Department in-charge and Councilor Jayshree Joshi, Sandeep Vora and Organizing Committee members. It is noteworthy that prior to the football tournament, a basketball tournament was organized in this Ward. After this, this 4-day state level football match is being organized. Organizing committee officials informed that 25 teams from all over the state are participating in this tournament.
The Mayor in his brief address said that there is no dearth of talent in our district and state. It is our responsibility to provide them a good platform, and it is only when they get encouragement that they will be able to make their own place and improve their game.
They need proper guidance and support. He extended his best wishes to all the players present at the inaugural ceremony. In the 4-day state-level football match, the winning team will be given a prize of Rs 21,000/- and the runner-up team will be given a prize of Rs 16,000.
Nikhil Khichariya, Raja Vikram Baghel, Rakesh Mishra, organizer Deepak Chaudhary, Gaurav Sharma, Sidhu Singh, Rishabh Behar, Arvind Devvanshi, Rajan Singh, Shashidhar Rao and citizens in large number were present on the occasion.
