SSSSM&CH treats 2000 pregnant mothers

Raipur, Dec 05: The Totally Free of Cost Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Mother and Child Hospital (SSSSM&CH) celebrated ‘Janmotsav’ to commemorate its 2000 pregnant mother registrations and 125 successful child deliveries in just its First 80 days of commencement at a moving function in Dr. C. Rajeshwari Auditorium. Dr Narayana Murthy – Senior Anaesthetist & Mentor – Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Mother & Child Hospital;Dr Praveen Kumar Neema – Senior Anaesthetist & Mentor Anaesthesia – Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Hospital; Sri C. Sreenivas – Chairman – Sri Sathya Sai Health & Education Trust and Sri Santosh Mishra – CEO, Leela’s Foundation and the entire Team of the Mother & Child Hospital participated in this joyous event welcoming the new Borns.
The proud mothers at Janmotsav Rajani Tandan from Sec 29, Soni Nirmalkar from Dharampura, Sarita Navrange from Godra, Saroj from Kharkharadih and Padmini from Baroda – Mana; Roshleen Ekka from Uparwara; Pragya Yadav from Mahaveer Nagar; Anita Patel from Palaud and Shalu Kumari from CRPF Camp Sector 29 expressed their heartfelt joy and gratitude for the marvelous and moving experience exhibited to them by the Team members of the newly commenced Sri Sathya Sai Sanjeevani Mother & Child Hospital , Nava Raipur.
Dr Archana Prasad- HOD & Consultant – Obstetrician & Gynaecology making a presentation entitled ‘ The Journey So Far ’ shared how just in 80 days of the journey this milestone of 125 deliveries is achieved apart from 2000 OPD Consultations. Out of these 125 deliveries; 40% cases were referred from Government of Chhattisgarh PHCs & CHCs. Most deliveries were complex and complicated. High-Risk pregnancies were successfully treated at the centre with both Mother and Child safe. Also twins were delivered to a couple from Mahasamund. She stated that the facilities like OPD Consultations, Sonography, all Lab Investigations, Deliveries and NICU services provided totally free of cost were a boon to all beneficiaries.
Chairman Sreenivas said that the foundation stone of the Hospital was laid in the form of Dr. C. Rajeshwari Sangwari Clinic in 2019. This Hospital was set up with a view to provide much- awaited medical facilities to the needy women and adolescent girls particularly from the villages in and around Nava Raipur. Regarding the training to the girls from Kondagaon; Sathya Sai Sanjeevani decided to empower the girls towards their capacity building so that they can stand on their own feet.
Shri Santosh Mishra highly praised the unique initiatives of the Hospitals. He thanked the Chairman for giving opportunity to the Students who are 12th passed and post schooling they have done Diploma in Emergency medicines. Now about 70 students are posted for training at Sathya Sai Sanjeevani in different departments.  This training will be beneficial to them in gaining knowledge about different treatment offered in the field of Cardiac OPD, Cardiac Care Unit, Cardiac ICU, Public Health and Obst. & Gynaec.
A Training Manual was released by the dignitaries and a special Janmostav cake was cut in the presence of the Dignitaries and all the staff members of the Mother & Child Hospital.
