Speed up settlement, increase public facilities in Nava Raipur: Baghel

Raipur, Jul 10: The Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has given special priority to the settlement work between the new and the old Raipur, while emphasizing on speedy settlement and increasing public facilities in Atal Nagar, Nava Raipur. Mr. Baghel was reviewing the works of the Housing and Environment and Forest Department in a meeting held at his residence office here. On this occasion senior officials including Forest and Housing and Environment Minister Mohammad Akbar and Parliamentary Secretary Shishupal Sori were present.
In the meeting, the officials informed that priority work is being done to make Nava Raipur, Atal Nagar a fast developing and orderly city. To increase the settlement, land will be allotted at concessional rates to develop various facilities like hotels, hospitals, colleges, civic centers and transport hubs. Similarly, 2732 acres of land worth Rs 689 crore has been allotted to the government by the Nava Raipur, Atal City Development Authority.
Officials said that construction of 1000 bedded hospital in 25 acres area of Sector-18 and college in Sector-28 is included. Similarly, construction work of high level fully residential English medium school and Haat-Bazar in Sector-25 has been taken up on priority. Apart from this, work related to plantation in 200 hectares and village development plan in 10 villages located in Layer-1 of Nava Raipur Atal Nagar, including playground, Adarsh Gauthan in Kotrabhata-Paloud and Biodiversity Park in Sector-24 are included in priority list. During the review of Raipur Development Authority, it was informed that out of 19 sectors of Kamal Vihar, 14 sectors have been completed. The work of remaining 5 sectors is in progress, it will be completed by December 2021. Apart from this, 90 percent work has been completed under Indraprastha Yojana. Its remaining works will also be completed by December 2021. At present, 2048 houses under Kamal Vihar Yojna and 1840 houses in Indraprastha Yojna are towards completion.
Chhattisgarh Housing Board officials informed that 11,937 properties have been free-hold under the work of free-holding commercial and residential buildings. Due to Covid-19, the interest of the pending period has been waived by declaring the months of April, May and June 2021 as zero. Apart from this, 616 beneficiaries were given 100% rebate in the interest amount for the pending period on payment of one-time amount under self-financing scheme. Similarly, 157 beneficiaries were given complete exemption in interest for the delayed period on depositing the entire outstanding amount under the Freight Purchase Scheme. Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain, Additional Chief Secretary of Housing and Environment Department Mr. Subrat Sahoo, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. Siddharth Komal Singh Pardeshi, Commissioner Chhattisgarh Housing Board, Dr. Ayyaz Tamboli, Director, Town Planning, Mr. Jai Prakash Maurya, Environment Member Secretary of the Department, R.P. Tiwari was present.
