SP Prashant Thakur visits Old Age Home

Bhilai, Oct 31: It was a surprising a memorable moment for the inmates of Pulgaon Old Age Home when District Police Chief reached there to celebrate the birthday of a 90-year-old man. Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur and his team visited Pulgoan Old Age Home under the Samarpan Campaign being conducted in the district by Police Department. The old inmate cut the cake and celebrated his birthday with the Cops and the old home inmates in presence of SP Prashant Thakur, ASP Praggya Meshram and other officials.
Later, SP Prashant Thakur interacted with the elderly people residing in the old home and tried to explore their problems. He assured to take necessary steps for resolving their problems and providing the expected care and comfort. The elderly people expressed desire to visit Maitri Garden on which SP Thakur immediately directed the Nodal Officer to make arrangements for the trip. The elderly people appreciated the initiatives of Samarpan Programme and expressed gratitude towards the police department. SP Thakur informed that they are making efforts to ensure the return of old age home inmates to their families. SP Thakur informed that under the directives of Chief Minister and Director General of Police, efforts are being made to provide safety, respect, facilities and comfort to the old people.
