SP inspects flyover construction sites

Bhilai, June 10: On Thursday, SP Prashant Thakur inspected the sites of flyover construction on National Highway. In view of increased traffic pressure, consequent traffic jams as well as rainy season, SP assessed the situation and gave instructions to the concerned officials to take corrective measures.
He inspected the sites at Kumhari, Dabrapara, Power House and Chandra – Mourya, Supela. DSP Gurjeet Singh, Govind Ahirwar, SDO (NH, PWD) SK Jha, Team Leader Aniruddha Jain, BL Dewangan and officials of Royal Infra Private Limited were present during the visit.
The construction company officials informed SP that the construction of all the flyovers is expected to complete by February 2022. They informed that the Kumhari Flyover will be completed by October this year; Chandra – Mourya and Supela by December 2021 and the flyover at Power House will be completed by February 2022. SP directed to conduct repairs of the worn out and damaged portions of the road; road markings with white plastic paint; install sign boards for commuters; extending the road width at places where there is scope; warning signs for “no parking” and “wrong side movement” on the diversion roads; completing the construction works at its earliest; and plenary action against the people moving on wrong side.
