Six held for attempt to murder

Bhilai, Sep 20: Police have arrested six ruffians including three juveniles on charges of attempt to murder. The victim is recuperating at Medical College Hospital, Raipur. ASP (City) Rohit Jha informed that on September 16, Newai Police Station had received complaint regarding attack on a youth named Chandrahaas Adil at Bajrang Square, Station Maroda. He was roaming with his friends when some ruffians attacked him with sticks and cutter. The incidence was an outcome of some old rivalry. The victim had suffered fatal injuries on abdomen and was admitted in Raipur Medical College Hospital for treatment.
Police lodged a case under section 307, 34 of IPC and started searching the accused. Finally, Police managed to arrest six ruffians from Rajim, Chhata and Risali area. The accused were identified as Virendra Banjare (18) son of Vinod Banjare a resident of Station Maroda; Harish Bagh (18) son of Moti Bagh a resident of Station Maroda and Tikesh Kumar Sharma (21) son of Jamuna Prasad Sharma a resident of Minimatapara, Station Maroda and three juveniles. They were produced before the court and have been sent to jail on judicial remand. Sub Inspector Dhaniram Narange, Constable Ravi Bisai, Suraj Pandey, Ajay Dewangan and Pankaj Chaturvedi played vital role in arresting the accused.
