Singhdeo reviews arrangements of medical colleges

Raipur, Jun 22: State Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education Minister T.S. Singhdeo reviewed the arrangements of all the medical colleges with senior departmental officers and deans and superintendents of government medical colleges. Expressing displeasure over the delay in the examinations of various courses of nursing, he directed to conduct their examinations at the earliest. On his instructions, Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Smriti Health Sciences and AYUSH University has declared the exam date for all the nursing courses. Principal Secretary, Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, Dr. Alok Shukla and Secretary Mrs. Shehla Nigar were also present in the review meeting.
State Medical Education Minister Mr Singhdeo reviewed the infrastructure of all medical colleges, building conditions, availability of professors and other staff, arrangements for teaching and treatment, supply of medical equipments, medicines and consumables in the meeting held at Mantralaya. It was agreed in the meeting that in view of the problem in the availability of medicines and consumables in the superspecialty services of Endowed Cardiac Institute (ACI), Radiology and Oncology Department at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Memorial Hospital affiliated to Raipur Medical College, CMDF by the Health Department. 37 crore will be given to Chhattisgarh Medical Services Corporation (CGMSC) for their supply. The Health Minister directed to get the Ayushman cards made immediately for the patients who do not have Ayushman cards coming for treatment in all medical colleges.
He asked for the treatment of patients by booking prescribed packages under Dr. Khubchand Baghel Health Assistance Scheme and Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Health Department Commissioner Dr. CR. Prasanna, Director Health Services Mr. Neeraj Bansod, Director of Medical Education Department Dr. RK. Singh, Managing Director of CGMSC Kartikey Goyal and Deans and Superintendents of all Government Medical Colleges were also present in the review meeting.
