Singhdeo inaugurates implant tri-integration workshop

Raipur, Feb 17: State Minister of Public Health and Family Welfare and Medical Education, T.S. Singhdeo inaugurated the workshop organised on the subject of Prosthetic Aspect of Implantology, Implant Tri-Integration at Dental College, Raipur. The two-day workshop has been organized by the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Prosthodontics and Implantology of the college to teach students the specifics of implantology. Famous implantologist, maxillofacial prosthodontist and anaplastologist Dr. Srinivasa Rao has been invited as a subject specialist and mentor in the workshop. Under his guidance, college students and professors will receive theoretical and practical information on clinical second stage surgery, implant impression techniques and prosthesis insertions and occlusal adjustments. Health Minister T.S. Singhdeo inaugurating the workshop, hoped that the dentists studying here would gain more and more skills and knowledge from the subject matter experts in the workshop which would help them to provide better and higher quality services to the people coming here for treatment. He said that under the guidance of expert doctors, the students will be proficient by acquiring new skills and provide best health facilities to the patients. Mr. Singhdev said that the state government is working seriously in all medical education institutions to study, teach, treat and provide better services to the citizens. Addressing the students in the inaugural session of the workshop, Director of Medical Education Department, Dr. R.K. Singh said that due to a good knowledge and expertise in his subject, the responsibilities assigned by the institute can be efficiently discharged. You have got the opportunity to serve people as a doctor. This workshop will be very helpful in expanding your knowledge and skills. The Principal of Dental College, Dr. Bishwajit Mishra gave information about the workshop’s purpose, content and various sessions in the inaugural session. On this occasion, including Professor of Department of Prosthodontics, Dr. Deepesh Kumar Gupta and Head of the Department of Periodontics, Dr. Vinita Gupta, many faculty and students of the college were also present.
