Shri Ram Janmotsava Samiti forms human chain; demand clean water

Bhilai, June 07: Under the Mission ‘Shuddh Jal’ being run by Shri Ram Janmotsava Samiti, thousands of people came forward to form a human chain on Central Avenue in Bhilai Township. They expressed protest against the BSP management as well as the ignorant public representatives. About 2000 citizens expressed their ire by forming a human chain from Sector 1 to Sector 8 regarding the supply of dirty water to the houses of township. They suspected that if this problem is not resolved at the earliest, there are chances of outbreak of water borne diseases. People expressed their protest in a peaceful manner, following all the necessary Covid 19 guidelines.
On the call of Shri Ram Janmotsava Samiti, the human chain was formed on Central Avenue Road under the leadership of the Youth Wing President Manish Pandey. Expressing gratitude to all the residents of Bhilai, Pandey said that pure water is the right of all and we will continue the struggle for the rights. He said that people are getting some relief from Corona, but due to the failure of BSP management and public representatives, Bhilai residents are now facing the threat of other diseases. Pandey said that entire Bhilai is forced to drink dirty water for the last two months. There has been an atmosphere of fear among the people regarding the dirty water. Despite this, neither the public representatives nor the BSP management is serious about this subject. Public representatives are making promises to the public and the management is only giving assurances but no concrete steps have been taken so far to solve this problem. Now people are afraid of diseases like typhoid, diarrhoea and jaundice.
