Balod, May 07:
The members of Chhattisgarh Panchayat Nagariya Nikai Shikshak Sangh (CPNNSS) through a memorandum in the name of the Collector Balod district informed that there is provision for mental relaxation for teachers under the Right to Education from 1 May to 15 June for 45 days and in many classes there are no basic amenities like fans/ coolers and due to which the children do not come to school and in such conditions raised doubts on organising summer classes in the Schooll
The members of Teachers’ Federation Sangh of Balod district submitted memorandum to the Collector to reconsider the decision on organising summer camp and said that it was view of increasing temperature and intense heat that few schools were closed down two-three days in advance and as such many schools lacks basic amenities like fans, coolers etc and many teachers are busy in the evaluation work and therefore it would not be possible to run summer classes during thi period. At the same time other teachers said that during 10 months long studies in the School, they are also taught about the skill development and in-between if the children are deprived of the 45 days of leave they are given, then it will have negative effect on their mind. The Dy. Collector has assured to take a final call on this speaking to senior officers of the department in this regard.
It is notable that in this case, the teachers have registered protest in Gandhinian way about not holding the summer camp.
As per information in this regard, if their demands are not considered then based upon call by the Sangh of teachers, they will be forced to launch movement. CPNNSS Balod in view of plans of opening schools for summer camp have asked to reconsider the decision about the same. Those who submitted memorandum included District President Dilip Sahu, Pradeep Sahu, State Asst. Secy.
Vice president Ramkishore Kharanshu, Madhav Sahu and District Secy. Raghunandan Gangboiar, Lekhram Sahu, and others.
