Shikhar Singh selected in Indian volleyball team
Bhilai, Jul 17: Volleyball player, Shikhar Singh, former cadet in SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant’s Day Boarding Scheme to train young players who later played in BSP Volleyball team has been selected for the Indian Volleyball Team that would take part in the 21st Asian Senior Men’s Volleyball Tournament in Japan to be held from September 8 to Sept 20, 2021.

Before the Tournament, Shikhar Singh would participate in the training camp at Bhuvaneshwar to be held from July 20 to September 07, 2021. Shikhar was selected for the Indian Team on the basis of his performance during the 69th Sr National Volleyball Tournament organised at Bhuvaneshwar in March 2021. A regular player for Bhilai Steel Plant, Shikhar Singh has been member of the BSP Team in Steel Plants Sports Board (SPSB) and state level tournaments. Shikhar has also played for the country as member of Indian Junior Volleyball Team. Anirban Dasgupta, Director In Charge, Bhilai Steel Plant, SK Dubey, ED (P&A), other senior officers and sports enthusiasts of Bhilai have congratulated Shikhar Singh on being selected for the national team and have wished him the best for his future.
