‘Setganga Dham’ declared tourism spot but still remain neglected

Mungeli, Feb 27: At some distance from district headquarters is situated tourism spot ‘Setganga Dham’ where on the occasion of Magh Poornima five-day fair has started from February 21. In addition fairs are also held on Shivratri, Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti. Even then many problems exist at this place and devotees who come here face hardships.
The residents also wait for basic amenities. For redressal to this problem, residents met Mungeli collector eight days back and submitted him a memorandum. But as no initiative has been taken by the district administration residents vented anger. This historical place of faith is situated on the banks of Tesua river on Mungeli-Pandaria-Jabalpur state highway. There are a number of other popular temples in this place. Several devotees come here to offer prayers and consider it as a place of faith. The management of this place is jointly managed by village panchayat Mungeli and janpad panchayat. The public representatives showed their anger for getting cooperation from the district administration in developing this place. On every Sunday, traders from different places come here to perform business activity in this biggest weekly market. But lack of cleanliness and other problems in the area is posing problems for the traders who come here. Beautification.
