Self defence camp concludes at Ghanta Ghar

The kickboxing,martial arts and self defence training camp, organised under the joint auspices of Sangwari Policing and Women Safety Team, concluded at Ghantaghar Open Auditorium on Monday. Female commandos and kickboxing and martial art players participated in the camp to train women and young girls in the art of self defence.The 10 day training camp was inaugurated by SP Jitendra Singh Meena. The camp continued at Ghantaghar Open Auditorium, where Women Safety Team and international kickboxing players Rehana Fatima and Pratibha Rai trained the women and girls everyday from 5 in the evening. During the camp, women were told about the measures to protect oneself against dispute. They were also told about the tricks to use daily life articles as weapons in adverse situation.
On the last day of the camp, the female commando expressed her views on the camp, saying that such programs help in empowering the women and provide inspiration to remove ill/practices of the society. Some social organisations presented attractive cultural programs on the conclusion ceremony and especially the performance by young children was highly appreciated by police officers.
SP Meena felicitated the female participants of the camp and said that women must continue practicing these tricks, so that they may use them in the time of need.
