Second marriage on false affidavit through Arya Samaj declared void

Raipur, Sep 23: Complaints related to women were heard for redressal today at State Women’s Commission office in presence of Commission Chairperson Dr Kiranmayi Nayak and members Anita Rawte, Ms Shashikanta Rathore and Archana Upadhyay.
During hearing in a case of land dispute, the Raipur Municipal Corporation Zone-3 sub engineer and ward corporator were present along with concerned parties. The commission gave photocopies of relevant documents to the sub engineer. Ward corporator and sub engineer were directed by the commission to inspect the land and submit the inspection report in the commission within fifteen days. If the non-applicant has illegally occupied the government land, then action of eviction should be taken, the Commission said. In another case, the non-applicant is charged with conspiring for a second marriage besides indulging in domestic violence against wife. He also entered into second marriage by submitting false affidavit in Arya Samaj. Records will be checked by the police station. There are enough grounds for registering offence under Sections 476, 468, 471 and 494 against husband and mother-in-law in this case. The case of disposed of, with direction to applicant to go to police station along with documents and register FIR against non-applicant.
In another case, a hand written consent letter between the applicant wife and the non-applicant was presented to the commission in which the wife sought deposition of Rs 15,000 per month in her bank account by her husband. This proposal was accepted by husband. The husband is working in the dental college. The applicant has two daughters who are studying. The applicant is rearing both the daughters. Husband who is non applicant in the case gets monthly salary in first week of month. The case has been disposed of with consent of the non applicant to deposite the said amoung every month in bank account of his wife.
