Sanjay Rungta Group celebrates Engineer’s Day

Bhilai, Sep 18: RSR Rungta College of Engineering & Technology, under the aegis of Sanjay Rungta Group of Institutions celebrated Engineer’s Day to mark the 160th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir Moksha Gundam Visvesvaraya, as a tribute to one of the greatest engineers of the country for his outstanding contribution to society.
Engineer’s Day is celebrated to pay rich tributes to Bharat Ratna Visvesvaraya who was regarded as the ‘Father of Modern Mysore’. The event comprised of Technical Model making, Logo making competition, Singing Competition, Dancing Competition and Quiz competition.
The students from all engineering departments participated in these events and played a very important part in the successful conduction of the event. The students of mechanical engineering presented “Earthquake Detector working model” and showed the importance of having such devices at household level for places which are most affected by earthquakes and natural disasters.
The event was attended by faculty members, UG and PG students. The students have taken keen interest to participate actively and enthusiastically. The Group Chairman Sanjay Rungta and Group Director Saket Rungta congratulated the students and the faculty members on the occasion of Engineer’s Day.
