Sagar, Padmawati win Divisional Chess tournament

Sagar Baghel and EV Padmawati have won the state-level Chess Tournament being organised under the aegis of Raipur Division of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India at the Pandri-based Office.
Providing the above information in a statement issued here, the Joint Secretary of LIC Sports & Recreation Committee Raipur Vinay Baiswade said that Sagar Baghel from Dalli-Rajhara won the Men’ title whereas Rohit Dewangan from SO Abhanpur Raipur 3 and Suri Kansram Kanwar from Divisional Office Raipur secured second and third positions respectively.
Similarly, Mrs EV Padmawati from Bhilai 1 secured first position in Women’ category whereas Chitrgita Sahu from Raipur 3 Office secured second position.
All the above players have been selected for the Central Regional Chess Tournament to held soon.
Manager (Personnel) N Venkatesh was chief guest of the concluding ceremony whereas Selection committee Chairman Manager IT Neelmani Dwevedi, Divisional Insurance Employees Union General Secretary Surendra Sharma were also present on the occasion. International player and FIDE Arbitor Ravi Kumar was the Chief Official for the tournament.
