Russia expects to sign the multi-billion dollar S-400 missile defence deal with India this year itself.
The Russian side confirmed that the technical aspects of the contract have been agreed upon and a price just needed to be decided.
It need be recalled that the it was on October 15, 2016 that India had announced a deal with Russia to purchase the S-400 Triumf air defence system.
While this deal alone is expected to be worth over $5.5 billion, the two countries had also agreed to collaborate in making four state of art frigates.
India also will soon set up a joint production facility for making Kamov helicopters.
