Runaway teenager recovered safely from Titlagarh railway station

Raipur, Feb 25: In an instance of absolute pro-active policing, capital police on Wednesday night successfully recovered a runaway teenage girl of Rajendra Nagar locality from Titlagarh railway station within six hours of her leaving the house.
According to police, the girl’s mother Poonam Sharma of Himalayan Heights in Rajendra Nagar police station complained at the local police station that her daughter had left the home after some dispute and had not even taken her cell phone. She further informed police that the girl had called through someone’s phone telling that she is in Bhilai Power House and that she will never return to the home. Following her complaint, entire top brass of capital police flung into action and the girl’s photo and CCTV grabs of her housing complex were circulated all over Durg district. Initially the girl could not be found anywhere in Durg district but after sometime it was informed that a similar girl had boarded the Durg-Puri Express train. Following this information, capital police immediately contacted Railway Protection Force (RPF) and a hectic search was launched for the girl. Ultimately, RPF succeeded in tracing the girl at Titlagarh railway station where she was made to light and her recovery was informed to Rajendra Nagar police station.
The girl has since been brought back to Raipur and handed over to her parents.
