Rumour on AG’s resignation, Tiwari denies

Central Chronicle News
Raipur, May 31: The Advocate General of Chhattisgarh high Court Kanak Tiwari has tendered his resignation. There were speculations about his tendering resignation for last few days. CM Bhupesh Baghel has confirmed the resignation by Kanak Tiwari and added that a new Advocate General (AG) of Chhattisgarh High Court has been made. Sources informed that in place of Kanak Tiwari, Satishchand Verma is likely to be the new Advocate General of Chhattisgarh High Court and declaration of his name can be made anytime.
On the other hand, after flashing of this news in the media, Kanak Tiwari in his Facebook has assertively said that he has not tendered his resignation and questioned as to why he should tender resignation. But after confirmation of his resignation by CM on Friday before the media, Tiwari countered it saying that he has not tendered resignation. There are reports that there is going to be some clash of interest on this issue between the state government and Advocate General.
It is notable that after Bhupesh Baghel’s government was sworn-in in December 2018, the appointment of Kanak Tiwari was made as Advocate General. CM Bhupesh Baghel informed that resignation of Kanak Tiwari has been received and he has expressed his inability to work at this age and therefore has tendered his resignation and which in turn has been accepted.
