RTPCR negative report valid within 96 hrs for passengers coming to Ch’garh by rail, road and flights

Raipur, May 20: For the travelers coming to Chhattisgarh, the state government has made partial amendments in the guidelines related to mandatory COVID testing. Now, RTPCR negative report will be valid within 96 hours for passengers coming to Chhattisgarh by rail, road and flights. Those who have taken both doses of COVID vaccine will also allowed entry into the state. Such people will have to carry their vaccination certificates.
For passengers coming to Chhattisgarh by plane, will not be required to show RTPCR test at the time of boarding. The new guidelines will be effective from May 21. The General Administration Department has issued a circular today regarding new guidelines to the commissioners of all divisions, IGPs, Collectors and Superintendents of Police.
The General Administration Department has told the officials in the circular that at the time of boarding from other states through air travel, the mandatory provision for RTPCR test report has been abolished. Passengers who have undergone RTPCR test within 96 hours or those having negative report of the RTPCR and those having certificate of having both doses of the COVID vaccine, will be allowed to travel further within the state.
Air passengers who do not have RTPCR test reports of the specified time period will be subjected to screening at airports. They will have to keep themselves isolated at homes till receipt of their reports. Instructions have been given to display the necessary information in this regard at the entry points in Raipur, Bilaspur and Jagdalpur airports.
It has been said in the circular that passengers coming by rail and road with RTPCR negative test reports of last 96 hours and those with certificates of both doses of the COVID vaccine, will be allowed to travel further from the railway stations or border check posts within the state. The government has directed all divisional commissioners, IGPs, collectors and SPs to make necessary arrangements for daily compliance these revised guidelines.
