Rs 84 lakh approved for families of deceased/injured/victims in naxal violence

Konta, Nov 28: Adequate security and rehabilitation action plan was announced by Collector Nandanwar with the aim of connecting the Naxal victims/ families and surrendered Naxalites with the mainstream and the families of the victims under the provisions related to the “Central Plan” to the families of the deceased in Naxalite violence.  According to the decision taken in the meeting of the District Level Rehabilitation Committee, under the Financial Assistance Scheme, financial assistance amounting to Rs 05 lakh to the family of the dead and 01 lakh to the injured.
Financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh has been sanctioned to the families of those killed in Naxalite violence.  Under this, eight families have been sanctioned financial assistance amounting to Rs 5 lakh each.  An amount of one lakh rupees has been sanctioned to the seriously injured beneficiary Venkata Vamshi father Nageswara Rao in the Naxalite violence.
Amount of 27.20 lakh approved for damage to movable and immovable property
On the basis of recorded cases of damage to other vehicles like trucks, tippers, trolleys, motor cycles by Naxalites, 08 beneficiaries will get Rs 3 lakh per beneficiary, 2 lakh to one beneficiary and 20-20 thousand to two beneficiaries.  An amount of 40 lakh has been approved.  Similarly, in the case of looting of domestic property and other daily useful items by Naxalites, a sum of Rs 30,000 has been sanctioned to one beneficiary and Rs.
Fifteen lakh 80 thousand incentives approved for surrendered Naxalites
According to the instructions of the Home Department of Chhattisgarh Government, a total incentive amount of Rs.15 lakh 80 thousand per person has been sanctioned for the purpose of connecting 158 surrendered Naxalites of the district with the mainstream.
