‘RGRLALNY will be launched from ‘Dev Uthni’ festival’

Raipur, Aug 09: Agriculture and Water Resources Minister Ravindra Choubey has said that as per the announcement of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, the state-wide launch of Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Agriculture Labourers Nyay Yojana (RGRLALNY) in the state of Chhattisgarh will be from ‘Dev Uthni’ festival in this financial year. Under this scheme, Rs 6000 will be given annually to such families of rural areas, who do not have agricultural land and are associated with MNREGA or agricultural wages. Washermen, barbers, blacksmiths and priests will also get the benefit of this scheme. Minister Choubey was addressing the inauguration and Bhumi Pujan program of development works costing Rs 70.86 lakh at village Rakhi of Saja development block of Bemetara district on the occasion of Hareli Tihar, the traditional festival of Chhattisgarh state. Minister Choubey said that Bhupesh government is truly a government protecting the interests of farmers and labourers.
After the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, Godhan Nyay Yojana under the leadership of the Chief Minister, now Rajiv Gandhi Rural Landless Agriculture labourers Nyay Yojana is being started for the benefit of the laborers. This scheme will start from ‘Kartik Ekadashi Dev Uthani’ festival in the state. The state government has made a provision of Rs 200 crore in the supplementary budget for the scheme. 12 to 15 lakh landless families of the state will be benefited by this scheme. Agriculture Minister Choubey on this occasion announced to provide 20 pieces of sewing machines to make women self-reliant. During the program, he launched the mineral water prepared by the women self-help group of village Deurgaon for marketing and congratulated the women. Minister Choubey also inspected the land reserved for pasture in village Rakhi. On reaching Rakhi village, Minister Choubey was accorded a warm welcome by the villagers. The Agriculture Minister prayed for the prosperity of the farmers of the state by offering prayers to Rampa, Kudali, Nangar, Gaiti, which are used for farming in village Rakhi.
On this occasion, Collector Mr. Vilas Bhoskar Sandipan greeted the farmers and villagers on the occasion of Hareli festival. Sarpanch Mrs. Ishwari Choubey and other public representatives, officials and villagers were present in the program including Banshi Patel, Santosh Verma, District Panchayat Vice President, Saja and Mrs. Seema Bhuneshwar Chandrakar.
