
Raipur: Unidentified broke into a locked restaurant on the intervening night of Thursday-Friday and decamped with cash Rs 10000, a mobile phone and several snacks packets, all totaling to about Rs 25000.
The burglary was noticed on Friday morning when restaurant owner Thanuram Sahu opened it for the day and found the cash counter broken open. Further inspection revealed that a ventilator grill has been uprooted and it was from there the burglars might have entered into the restaurant.
He soon lodged a complaint in Telibandha police station following which police have registered an offence under Section 457, 380 IPC against unidentified burglars and now further investigation is underway.
