Repeating clothes is not a fashion faux pas

I f it’s on social media, you can’t wear it again. Except, you can.
We live in a world where repeating clothes is considered a fashion faux pas. However, there’s no need to buy a new set of clothes before every major event. All you need is some tips and tricks to give your old clothes a fresh, new avatar. Also, it’s completely normal and sustainable to repeat your clothes till they are no longer fit to be worn!
Wear your shirt like a dress
This is the easiest trick in the book. If you’re tired of your old shirt, you can just wear it as a dress. For a structured look, you can cinch the waist with a slim belt. Alternatively, you can even layer it over a slip or bodycon dress and tie a knot in the front. This way, your dress will give the illusion of being a skirt. As you can see, shirts are versatile. So all you need to do is be creative with them!
Accessorise with statement jewellery
If you have quite a few statement necklaces, earrings, and rings lying around, it’s time to bring them out. Wear an oxidised necklace over a plain old kurta or dress, and it instantly shifts the attention to the jewellery. Depending on the mood and vibe you are going for, you can also layer with different kinds of jewellery to make them the central focus of your look.
Mix and match
What if we told you that you could take a few separates and create a beautiful ensemble?
Get creative with your denim
Once the distressed denim trend took over the world, there was no looking back. However, if that’s not your style, you can get some appliqué work done on your jeans. All you have to do is head to a local fabric store, source some cute patchwork pieces, and head to your tailor. Trust us when we say that no one would be able to identify your old pair of jeans once you have the finished product.
