Record 217 citizens vaccinated in single day at Nehru Nagar

Bhilai, Jun 26: The aware, concerned and enlightened denizens are playing vital role in giving momentum to the government’s vaccination programme under Corona Combat. With the active participation of the citizens, the vaccination programme is moving ahead to achieve the desired goals.
The brilliant example of public support to vaccination programme and its exciting results are visible in Nehru Nagar area of the Steel City. Responsible and conscientious social activists of this locality have been working hard for the past one month for ensuring success to the programme at Radhakrishna Mandir vaccination centre.
With their dedicated and committed efforts, they have managed to get a large number of locals vaccinated and in turn they are receiving love and cooperation of citizens.
The team of volunteers led by Congress Ward President Amit Singh is ensuring proper and desired arrangements for the people at the vaccination centre. Now the people from other wards and localities of Durg – Bhilai have started visiting this centre to get vaccinated.
The volunteers are assisting the locals in getting vaccinated and are extending basic facilities and cooperation in a courteous manner.
Most of the volunteers are renowned businessmen and professionals but they are sparing time to work in the social sphere. The exciting result of their efforts was seen on Saturday with a record 217 citizens getting vaccinated in a single day at a centre.
Amit Singh has expressed gratitude towards DCC Chief Tulsi Sahu and New Press Club of Bhilai Nagar President Bhavana Pandey for encouraging the youth to work in the social sphere and organising the vaccination camp.
Amit Singh (Ward President, Ward 4, Bhilai District Congress Committee), Pankaj Agrawal (businessman and social worker), Satish Agrawal (businessman and social worker), Sumit Tamrakar (transporter and social worker), Sameer Verma (businessman and social worker), Bhuvaneshwari Devi, Shubhankar Ghosh, Shashank Pillai and other volunteers are playing vital role in making arrangements at this centre. Amit Singh also thanked the team of vaccinators including Lakshmi Jha, Bhavana Sharma, Sushma Sahu and Rashmi Tripathi.
