Rangoli competition inaugurated at Nehru Art Gallery on Children’s Day

Bhilai, Nov 14: A ‘Rangoli competition was inaugurated by Radhika Srinivasan, GM (TSD) on the occasion of Children’s Day on November 14, 2021 at Nehru Art Gallery, Civic Centre. Public Relations department, SAIL-Bhilai Steel Plant and Arts Club, Bhilai organised the event. Jacob Kurian, GM (LA & PR), S K Daripa, GM (PR), PK Nandi, Secretary, Arts Club, Aparna Chandra, AGM (PR), Jawahar Bajpai, SM (PR) and others were present on the occasion. This competition is being organised as part of the ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ celebrations, which started in March 2021 to commemorate 75 years of India’s Independence.
Kajal Verma, D/o Rajendra Kumar Verma, Sr Tech (RCL) secured the 1st prize, Mili Jain and Soumya Jain C/o Atul Kumar Jain, Sr Staff Asst (HRD) secured the 2nd prize while Yamini Tamrakar, DGM (Purchase) and her son Master Shubhrav Tamrakar secured the 3rd prize.
The competition was judged by a 2-member jury comprising of Gilbert Joseph, renowned painter and Vandana Vaishya, expert Rangoli artist from the Medical and Health services department. Dev Prasad and Trilochan from the PR department extended their valuable support in organizing the competition. The rangolis will be open for display to visitors at Nehru art gallery from November 14 – November 17, 2021 from 5 pm to 8 pm.
