Range level workshop on M-Passport held

Bhilai, Sep 28: As per the intentions of the Chief Minister, the system of M-Passport is being implemented to simplify the process of making a passport in the state. As a test run, this system has been introduced at selected police stations of the state. This system will be implemented across the state in the coming days. Recently a state-level workshop was held at PHQ in Raipur for the Nodal Officers and Master Trainers. In this sequel, a Durg Range level workshop was organised at the Police Control Room in Bhilai on Wednesday. Through this system, the police verification part in the process of passport making will be simplified.

SP Dr Abhishek Pallava and ASP (City) Sanjay Dhruv were present in the workshop. Panik Kujur (DSP, IGP Office); Shilpa Sahu Rathore (DSP, IUCAW), Nodal Officers and Master Trainers imparted training to the police offices of Durg Range.

In his address, SP Dr Pallava stated that for bringing transparency and simplifying the process, the M-Passport system is being introduced. Training will be given to all the officers / personnel of all the police stations. Earlier the applicant had to visit the Police Station for verification. But in the new system, the cops will visit the place of the applicant for verification. To modernise the police stations, tablets and other devices will be provided.

Panik Kujur (DSP, IGP office, Durg), Shilpa Sahu Rathore (DSP, IUCAW, Durg), Geeta Wadhwani (ASP, Balod); Arjun Kurre (SDOP, Mohla Manpur) and other officers were present.
