Raman appreciates Women’s Self-Help groups

CM sanctions Rs 3.66 crore for devp works at Bainsamunda

Korba, Mar 15:
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh today made a surprise trip to village Bainsamunda (development block Kartala) district Korba as a part of his (‘Redressal Camp’ ) State-wide ‘Lok Suraj’ campaign. Dr. Raman Singh appreciated the various works of Women’s Self-Help Groups and boosted their morale. The women gifted the artifices to Dr. Raman Singh. He sanctioned Rs 3.66 crore for various development works at six gram panchayats on the requests of various people’s representatives and local villagers. The works are-anganwadi building, construction of culvert on Barsati canal at village Kurriha, cement concrete road at gram panchayat headquarter Gumiya, construction of small bridge at village Kanki and Muktidham.
Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh also sanctioned Rs Three crore for laying of a road from Sargabudhiya-Bainsamundha. Former Minister Nankiram Kanwar and several prominent personalities were present at the camp.
Chief Secretary Ajay Singh was also present. Dr. Raman Singh called upon the Labour Department officers to register the unorganized sector workers to allow them to avail of the benefits of State Government social welfare schemes. Dr. Raman Singh expressed his happiness that 42 youth who got trained at the Plastic Engineering Institute had got placement at Gurgaon. Chief Minister had lunch with the school children.
