Rally taken out under Swacchata Pakhwada

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Raipur organized ‘Swacchata Pakhwada’, a cleanliness fortnight, on Wednesday. The event was conducted to promote the cause of a Garbage free India, and included a rally around the campus.

Various programs are being organized across the country to make people aware about cleanliness through programs to be organized on 1st October. In this series, a cleanliness rally was organized at National Institute of Technology Raipur. The procession enthusiastically chanted slogans promoting cleanliness like ‘Sabhi rogo ki ek dawai, ghar mein rakho saaf safai’(Cleanliness in each household, the cure to all ailments), ‘Hum sab ka ek hi sapna, swachh ho Bharat apna’(A clean India is a dream of us all), and ‘Maine apna kartavya nibhaya, saaf safai ko apnaya’(I adopted cleanliness and fulfilled my duty). The drive witnessed active participation from Faculties , staff, students and NCC cadets and amplified the importance of cleanliness in the collective consciousness of the campus. On October 1, a program of one hour Shrmdaan towards cleanliness will also be organized at campus and participation will be done with public participation in this great movement being run nationwide.
