On the occasion of the 27th death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, many party leaders, including UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Rahul Gandhi, paid homage to him. In the Lok Sabha, Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge also reached the ‘Veer Bhoomi’, his memorial place to pay homage to the former PM. Priyanka and her husband Robert Vadra, along with Rahul Gandhi, also reached the heroic land. Former President Pranab Mukherjee also paid tribute to former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.
Congress will do a sarva dharma paath on Rajiv Gandhi’s death anniversary
On 21 May, various programs have been organized by Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee on the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. In these programs, state Congress chief Rajbabber will be present. State Congress spokesman Virendra Madan said that a wreath will be given on the statue of Rajiv Gandhi located at 9.30 am at the Kalidas Marg intersection of Lucknow.
Similarly, at the 9.45 am, a wreath laying on the statue of Rajiv Gandhi located at Mall Avenue intersection. According to Madan, in the morning at 10 pm, there will be a gathering of all religious texts and seminars at the state Congress headquarters. Apart from this, other programs organized will also include state Congress President Rajbabber.
