Rajasthan: Met Department issues red alert for severe heatwave in six districts

In Rajasthan, scorching heat has affected normal life. Yesterday, maximum temperature was above 47 degrees in eight districts including Jalore, and Sri Ganganagar. It was 48.1 degrees Celsius in Barmer.

Met Department has issued red alert for severe heatwave in six districts of Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Barmer, Jodhpur, Jaisalmer, and Jalore today.

A new Western Disturbance is forming in the Bay of Bengal, which will affect some areas of the state. Due to this, there will be a change in the weather in the state from 16 to 18 May and people can get relief from the heatwave.
