Raipur-Bilapur four-lane cannot be completed till May 31

In case of hearing of Bilaspur- Raipur four-lane High Court has instructed for another affidavit on which hearing would be made on May 17, relating to the development status of this Project.
A status report regarding the development status of four-lane project was presented by the state Government in the divisional bench of Chief Justice of High Court on Tuesday. It was informed in the report that construction works are being done by two contract companies. In which the work which was undertaken by L&T is satisfactory however the other Company Punj Alliance is said to be sluggish in progress. Owing to these factors meeting the deadline May 31, for completion of the work of four-lane seems impossible. On which high court has instructed state government to file another affidavit, on which next hearing would be done on May 17.
It is noteworthy that in the last hearing on this matter High Court had instructed state government to ensure the completion of the construction of the aforementioned four-lane till the May 31 at any cost. Along with this court has also instructed during last hearing to the state government to present a status report on next hearing that was scheduled on May 14.
According to the instruction of High Court state government had presented status report on development on this project and had accepted that the deadline given by the court cannot be met. To get this project completed government need more time. National High way authority and state government were previously summoned on this subject in the court.
