Pvt schools not allowed sending message for tuition fee deposit

DEO writes them making it clear that fee cannot be sought on the basis of taking online classes Central

Raipur, Jun 17:
With frequent complaints about the pressure exerted on parents to deposit the tuition fee of the students by several private schools, the District Education Officer (DEO) on Wednesday said that stern action would be taken against them if they further send message to the parents through mobile or letter to deposit fee during the lockdown period.
DEO further stated that schools cannot ask parents to deposit fee against online classes during the lockdown period. It is notable that the state government had already instructed the school management to stop fee recovery from the parents so that they unnecessarily face pressure for their children. However, with several complaints in this regard, the DEO has asked the private schools to ensure that no message in written or through mobile is being sent to the parents to deposit fees during the lockdown period. DEO further stated that there should be no group meeting with the parents for any reason in private schools. DEO also made it clear that the tuition fee should not be recovered from the parents for online education system.
Meanwhile, a delegation of Parents Association on Wednesday submitted a memorandum to the District Collector raising demand to impose ban on online classes for the students upto Class V as it may create problem for them on being exposed for long hours to computer and mobile phones as it is being used during the online classes.
In the memorandum, they also stated that private schools should be asked to stop sending reminders for depositing tuition fee for the online classes.
