
Bhilai, Dec 03: Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel inaugurated various development projects worth Rs 75 crore in the limits of Bhilai Municipal Corporation on Wednesday. He inaugurated the beautified Bapu Nagar Pond and basic development works at Shri Ram Square Ground. On the occasion, Chief Minister said that providing civic amenities to the people is the priority of the government. Along with basic infrastructure, beautification is also being done on a large scale in Steel City. He said that ponds are our heritage. Protecting the ponds and enhancing their beauty is an important task. Due to the beautification work in ponds, the beauty of the city also improves and the environment is also protected. He said that important work is also being done in the direction of developing sports infrastructure for the youth. Chief Minister said that on the basis of feedback of citizens, many decisions are being taken in the public interest. The steps taken by the government will make great progress beautification as well as civic amenities in the urban area. MLA and Mayor Devendra Yadav expressed gratitude towards the Chief Minister for his support. He said that works are being done to increase the facilities for the players. Sports infrastructure has been given priority by Chhattisgarh government. As a result, sports infrastructure has developed rapidly in Bhilai. Bhilai Municipal Corporation will continuously work towards improving it. Divisional Commissioner TC Mahawar, Collector Dr Sarveshwar Narendra Bhure, SP Prashant Thakur, BMC Commissioner Rituraj Raghuvanshi, BMC officials and public representatives were present.
