In the video conferencing, the major activities of the Amrit Utsav, celebrated on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of independence, were discussed. The festival will begin from Sabarmati in Gujarat on March 12 and will culminate in Dandi after covering a distance of 241 miles. All states and union territories will send their representatives to the event. The 75th anniversary of Independence will be remembered as freedom fighters who made valuable contributions to the independence of the country under the Amrit Utsav. Gandhiji started this Satyagraha to remove this tax as salt is an essential thing for life. It was one of Gandhiji’s many movements against British oppression by the British government to monopolize the country. Secretary of the Culture Department Mr. Anbalagan P. and Director Mr. Vivek Acharya were present in the video conferencing.
