President Mr. Ramnath Kovind today had lunch with the children of Vanvasi Kalyan Ashram at village Heeranar district headquarter Dantewada. He prayed along with the Ashram children before having lunch. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh also enjoyed lunch with the President and the children. The food was served in ‘dona-pattal’ to all the guests. Mr. Kovind had bought sweets to the children from the Rashtrapati Bhawan. He wished the children a bright and prosperous future. The President announced the establishment of computer lab on the ashram premises.
President Mr. Ramnath Kovind appreciated the Vedic Mathematics and training of archery of the students. Tribal Development Minister Mr. Kedar Kashyap was also present. Mr. Kovind called upon the students to fix goals and work hard to attain them. He said that they should dream big and work tirelessly to achieve them. President also queried about the general knowledge of ashram students and expressed his happiness when they answered him correctly.
Mr. Kovind also enquired regarding the facilities available at the hostel and standard of education with the students. The President was given a traditional and warm welcome by the teachers and students. He also visited the Vedic Mathematics classroom and the archery training spot.
