Pragati College wins Sector-level Badminton championship

Pragati College on Thursday won the Badminton championship in both boys and girls category in the tournament being organised under the aegis of Department of Higher Education, Govt of Chhattisgarh, at Sapre School-based Badminton Hall here.
In the final match of the boys category, the Pragati College registered a 3-0 win against University Teaching Department (UTD) as Rudramani Yadav and Lukesh Yadav provided early lead in the single’ matches whereas the pair of Aman Patel and Devashish ensured a 3-0 win by winning the double’ match.
Similarly, in the girls category final match, the Pragati College players Tanya Mallick, Arti Sahitya and Rakhi Sahu ensured defeat to the opposition Govt DB Girls College in the final match.
Raipur sector team was announced on the basis of the performance here and the team would represent in the state-level Badminton tournament to be held at Swami Swaroopanand College HUDCO in Bhilai.
