Poor quality construction; notice served to agency

Bhilai Municipal Corporation Commissioner Prakash Sarwe is taking stock of cleanliness, drinking water, development work and other ongoing works by conducting morning visits regularly. Zone Commissioners and concerned officers accompany him during the visits. On Tuesday, Commissioner reached the last ward of the city, Hudco. Walking across the ward number 70, he saw the cleanliness works. In some places, the pipeline was found lying open. He instructed to make them arranged. During further inspection, Commissioner reached near Milan Chowk where he found that the paver blocks were not installed properly by the agency. It lacked proper balance and levelling. Expressing dissatisfaction over poor quality of paver block laying works, he issued a notice to the agency and instructed to remove the paver block and reinstall it in a systematic manner.
Instructing officers to take action on complaints of encroachment in Hudco, Corporation Commissioner said that he has received many complaints of encroachment. However, BMC has taken action on the complaints and removed the encroachments from many places. Commissioner instructed the officials to take immediate action against the encroachments. Officers should keep an eye on the new encroachments and take immediate action as soon as the matter of encroachment comes to the notice. He said that road construction work will be done in the coming days and encroachments would hinder this project. 13 encroachments have been identified which will be removed for road construction.
Commissioner Prakash Sarwe also inspected the Hudco Ground. He took information from the officials about the development works which will be done on this ground. Zone Commissioner Manish Gaikwad informed that the development work of the ground is to be done at a cost of Rs 1.5 crores. Chain-link fencing around the ground, high mast light for lighting, grass in the ground, and construction of dome shed and construction of toilets will be done. Commissioner instructed to start the work after completing the departmental process.
