Police seize 100 bottles of banned cough syrup

The Police from Baikunthpur (Korea) has launched drive against illegal supply of banned psychotropic durgs and cough syrup as per instructions from IG KC Agrawal and SP Vivek Shukla. But despite strictness the business of supply of psychotropic cough syrup is increasing each day. Actually in this business, by inesting Rs 100, one get chance of earning upto Rs 250 each and then in this business youth are showing more of interest and they also know that even if they are nabbed, they will be released in a month or two getting bail. Therefore the youths are spending full energy in this illegal business, despite knowing the fact that on drinking this psychotropic cough syrup, many a youths have died.
In this series, City Kotwali got news from an informer that one Dheeraj Jaiswal of Mahalpara is selling cough syrup from his residence. On getting information in this regard, as per instructions from Addl. SP Pankaj Shukla and under leadership of TI William Toppo, a team of Sub-Inspector Vijay Rathore, Jagdev Kushwah, Head Constable Navneet Sahu, Talib Sheikh, constable Akhilesh Jaiswal, Vishwaroopam Rajak of Forest department raided the house in Mahalpara and seized more than 100 bottles of cough syrup and also seized 34 pieces of ‘Teak’ wood logs, for which there was no valid document. On hearing news about raid by the police, the accused had left and brought the wife of the accused to thana for interrogation. Later the police had arrested Dheeraj also in this regard.
