Police nabs absconding assailants of gangster Bablu Panda

Bhilai, Sep 25: The assailants of a notorious gangster of Jabalpur had taken shelter at a house located in a posh colony of Steel City. The team of Mandla (MP) Police in association with team of Supela Police Station conducted an operation on the intervening night of Saturday and managed to nab three of the absconding assailants. Fire arms, luxury SUV and other items were recovered from them. Along with the assailants, police have arrested two others for giving shelter to the absconding accused.
According to information, notorious gangster Bablu Panda of Jabalpur was shot dead by a gang of ruffians at a dhaba in Bijadandi Police Station area of Mandla on August 12. The accused had escaped from the spot but seven of them were arrested by Madhya Pradesh Police within few hours. However, three other accused had managed to escape and had taken shelter at a rented house in Nehru Nagar (West) of Bhilai Nagar.
They were staying here at House Number 28/8, Nehru Nagar (West) for the last two weeks. Mandla Police was constantly tracing their mobile phone locations and discovered that the accused were in Bhilai Nagar. A seven-member team of Mandla Police reached Bhilai and with the help of Supela Police Station, a raid was conducted around 03:00 hrs on Saturday. Three of the accused were nabbed from the first floor of the house while one was rounded up when he was trying to escape.
The arrested accused are identified as Neeraj Sonkar, Saurabh Sonkar, Saurabh Nishad and Kailash Yadav. All of them are residents of village Purva, PS Barela, Dist Jabalpur (MP). Police have recovered a Toyota Fortuner SUV, two country made pistols and 12 live cartridges from their
possession.
