Police crackdown on bootleggers continues

Bhilai, Jul 17: On the instructions of SP Prashant Agrawal, the teams of various police stations are taking regular action against the people involved in illegal activities of bootlegging and trade of narcotics.
SDOP (Patan) Akash Rao Girepunje informed that the team of Anda Police Station conducted raids at villages Albaras, Nikumbh and Anda and rounded up four ruffians on charges of liquor peddling. A total of 80 quarters of liquor was seized from them.
33 quarters of liquor and Rs 310 cash was seized from Roshan Patil (38) of village Albaras. He was arrested in Anda. Pukeshwar Kumar Sahu was arrested with 17 quarters of liquor and Rs 520 cash from village Anda. Gulshan Khunte (29) of village Sirsida was arrested with 16 quarters of liquor from Nikumbh Bus Stand and the fourth accused Vishnu Dhankar (24) of Nikumbh was arrested with 14 quarters of liquor and Rs 230 cash. They have been booked under the provisions mentioned in Excise Act.
