Police conducts flag march in Bhilai and Chhawani sub-divisions

After the extension of lockdown in the district, District Police conducted flag march in Bhilai and Chhawani sub divisions and urged the common people to strictly follow the rules of lockdown. Superintendent of Police (Durg) Prashant Thakur joined the police officer / personnel in the flag march and encouraged them to work with dedication and commitment while following the Covid appropriate behaviour. Additional Superintendent of Police Praggya Meshram and other gazetted officers participated in the flag march.
Considering the alarming situation created in the second wave of Corona infection, lockdown has been extended in Durg. Durg Police along with the government and administration are committed to prevent the Corona infection. In this sequel, Durg Police took out a flag march and appealed to the public to maintain patience and cooperate in the battle against Covid19. The flag march started from Old Bhilai police station under the leadership of Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Praggya Meshram. CSP (Chhawani) Vishwas Chandrakar, CSP (Bhilai Nagar) Rakesh Joshi, DSP (AJK) Abhishek Jha along with all the SHOs of concerned sub division participated in the flag march. They moved across Chief Minister’s Residence, Sirsa Gate Square, Charoda, Khursipar, Chhawani, Link Road, Jawahar Market, Bhilai Township, Newai Police Station, Vaishali Nagar, Smriti Nagar, Supela Police Station and Bhilai Nagar. Police officers and employees marched on the Link Road, Jalebi Chowk to Jawahar Chowk and other places. People were asked to strictly follow the lock down and protect themselves from corona infection and help the administration. SP Prashant Thakur joined the flag march at Surya Mall Square and encouraged the officers and gave necessary guidelines related to Corona. Apart from this, he enquired about their health and the well being of the family members. He directed the Reserve Inspector to provide masks and sanitizers to the officers and employees who are constantly engaged in additional corona duty. The flag march stopped at Globe Square in Sector 6 where SP Prashant Thakur appreciated the cops for successful conduct of the flag march. He instructed all the SHOs to conduct intensive patrolling in their respective areas and taking appropriate action against the violators. It needs to be mentioned here that all the SHOs are conducting intensive and effective patrolling in their areas to ensure strict lockdown. Police are also taking strict action against those who violate the rules. Through the flag march, the public was appealed to stay in their home and follow all the rules to prevent corona infection. They can leave the house only when it is very necessary. They were urged to help the government and administration by staying aware and delivering their civic responsibility.
