Bhilai, Oct 18: PM Kisan Samman Sammelan was held at Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Anjora. Addressing the gathering, MP Vijay Baghel said that Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is an important scheme of Government of India which was launched in the Rabi season of the year 2018. The farmer receives 6000 rupees per year in three installments and this assistance amount comes directly to the bank account every four months in installments of Rs 2000. The installments have been released and now the farmers are likely to get the 9th installment soon. This scheme has helped a lot in improving the economic condition of farmers.

At the outset, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on issues of farmers was streamed live. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that several big steps have been taken to make farmers more prosperous. India has become a country to make crores of farmers prosperous. An installment of Rs 16,000 crore has been transferred directly to the bank accounts of farmers before Diwali. With lesser effort, farmers are increasing their yields by using new technology. Youth are also getting attracted towards farming. Today, quality fertilisers are being provided through One Nation-One Fertilizer initiative. Before 2014, farmers had to struggle to get fertilizer and urea. The fertilizers were sold in black market. But the BJP government curbed black marketing. The urea was supplied as per the requirements. Now with technology advancement, the fertilisers are available in bottles and small packets which are equivalent to sacks of traditional fertilisers. With the passage of time, even the smaller plots of land are being used for agriculture. New technology and scientific means are being adopted to increase the yields. Best seeds have been given to the farmers.
