Petrol conservation can be done by using Battery powered and CNG vehicles: Akbar

The Minister of Transport and Housing and Environment, Mr. Mohammad Akbar attended the closing ceremony of Saksham -2021 organized with the aim of promoting petroleum conservation and green and clean energy from his residence office. Saksham Mahotsav was organized by GAIL Gas Limited under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and Petroleum Research Association (PCRA). The purpose of this festival is to publicize and spread the message of petroleum conservation and fuel efficiency among common citizens. Addressing the Saksham Mahotsav, Minister Akbar said that to save petrol, we need battery operated and CNG vehicles emit less carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide than petrol. It is also available at cheaper prices than petrol and diesel. He appealed to all citizens to cooperate for the creation of a balanced environment. He exhorted the officers and employees present on the occasion to conserve the environment and save petrol. Officers of Bharat Petroleum, Hindustan Petroleum and Indian Oil Corporation were present on the occasion.
